There are several different types of steel pipe available for use in various applications. The most common is carbon pipe, which is so named because it contains no other alloys. Carbon pipe is widely available and relatively affordable, making it a popular choice for very large projects such as pipelines. Stainless steel pipe is made from an alloy of steel and chromium, and is one of the more expensive types of pipe on the market. It offers a high level of corrosion-resistance, which allows smaller and thinner pipes to be used, even in highly corrosive or acidic scenarios.
Where a plate or tube material is used for the outer tube, alloy powder is not attached to the inner tube stainless steel billet by HIP but instead the plate or tube having the composition of the outer material is wound over or embedded in the surface of the billet and the outer tube material and the inner tube billet are welded together. The resulting composite steel tube billet is then used in the above-described manner for producing a composite steel tube. Since the inner surface of the composite steel tubes according to the invention are ordinarily exposed to a steam environment, the inner tube material of the composite steel tube is required to possess oxidation resistance in a steam environment. The method of producing a composite steel tube according to the invention will not be explained.

Passive polarized glasses operate on the same basis as anaglyph glasses, only they filter light waves rather than color. Again, two identical and slightly offset images are superimposed, except in this case each image is polarized to project light differently than the other. With polarized 3D glasses, each eye only processes one image. Again, however, the mind is tricked into blending the two images into one, creating a 3D experience. Unlike anaglyphic 3D, which can be projected from any screen, polarization 3D works best with screens able to relay different light frequencies without sacrificing picture quality.

A number of processes have been proposed for production of composite steel tube. In one of these an alloy cladding material is provisionally attached to a carbon or low-alloy steel, the result is subjected to hot rolling to obtain a clad steel plate and the clad steel plate is formed into composite steel tube by submerged arc welding or the like. There have also been proposed methods or directly metal cladding a finished product to obtain a composite steel tube. For example, Japanese Patent Public Disclosure Shoo 61-223106 discloses a method of directly producing a final composite steel tube by fixing a high-alloy powder to a metal material by hot isocratic pressing.
